Earl and Greg

These are our friends, Earl and Greg. Greg and Mark went to Birmingham Southern together.

Believe it or not, Earl is a grandfather! When he was 22, he adopted his sister's children and did a great job raising them.

Greg is a friend from college. In high school, he was both an amazing football player and vocal soloist. If I remember correctly, he was both all state in football and he was the outstanding male singer in the state his senior year. Greg has been my parents' neurologist over these last few difficult years. They absolutely adore him. Greg treats them with such dignity and honesty. He's funny as all get out and just a good person.

These pictures are from October when we met them at a little Mexican restaurant in Birmingham. They were so sweet with gifts for Jack. Interestingly, Earl was the supreme baby hog. He must have held Jack for upwards of 90 minutes. You can tell he loves being a granddad. Greg practically had to pry Jack out of his arms just to get to hold him.
