Jeff Meets the Glacier

Jeff took a helicopter ride up to the Mendenhall Glacier. At the start of the trip was the traditional picture with the grizzly.
His transport. Jeff lucked out and got the front seat next to the pilot. (Katie, these are smaller than the ones you will be flying, but they were still pretty cool.)
You can't tell from this picture but it was wet and cold. Jeff is standing on several hundred feet of a slow moving river of ice. The river moves 3 feet a day.
